Saint of the Sea was purchased at the prestigious Tattersalls October Yearling Sale (Book 3) is a powerful and elegant colt by St Mark’s Basilica (FR) out of Marlyn (IRE).

St Marks Basilica (FR) is a Champion European colt and five-time Group 1 Winner including French 2000 Guineas, French Derby, Dewhurst Stakes, Eclipse Stakes and the Irish Champion Stakes.

His 2025 yearlings have already sold for 800,000gns, €520,000, 350,000gns, 350,000gns, 300,000gns, €300,000, etc

Marlyn (IRE) — by Exceed And Excel (AUS) out of Myrine (IRE), from the Outstanding Saganeca bloodline that produced Japan (GB), Mogul (GB), Secret Gesture, and Sagamix (FR).

From the moment he stepped into the paddock, Saint of the Sea stood out — athletic build, bold presence, and that rare balance of calm intelligence and raw speed.

Now under the care of trainer Mick Appleby, he’s progressing beautifully and showing all the hallmarks of a future winner.
